So National Night Out is Tuesday and our community is hosting a nice event with games, food, music, etc. I noticed that they are offering a service : "The Child Identification Program, includes fingerprinting, a DNA kit and photo and video, to be used in case of an emergency or if your child were to go missing."
I remember being in grade school and having the police come to school for an assembly and having my finger prints done. Maybe 3rd grade?
Seemed harmless back then but now? I haven't actually thought of it until I read the article for National Night Out.
Thoughts? Anyone done this or planning to do this?
Re: have you had your child fingerprinted?
I think my kids would find this the fingerprinting/dna kit to be a fun activity.
I do like the booths they set up for the kits though because it gets parents thinking.
