Good morning ladies! I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday.

It looks like all of the remaining October due date ladies are now moving on to the 3rd tri this week - good luck ladies! And welcome to our new January members -- if you would like to be added, please post below and include your EDD.

Please let us know how you are doing this week. Any appointments? Any Team Pink/Blue announcements? How are you feeling?

QOTW: What are your goals to get done before the end of the 2nd trimester (registry, nursery, childcare arrangements, etc.)?

ooh!! i'm 14 weeks today, can I join in?!

I have an OB appointment tomorrow with an early glucose screen that I"m freaking out about. I'm excited to hear the heartbeats again, it's been 2 weeks since I've seen the babies. Aside from that I'm having cramping off and on but the spotting from the SCH seems to have stopped on Sunday.

QOTW: I already started my registry so I'd like to finish that. I'm getting laid off in 5 weeks so I'll actually have time to do things around the house. I'm finding the not lifting to be very annoying since I want to do it, I just can't.

Update: Im 23 weeks. As many of you saw from my update my baby boy has a mild case of spina bifida. My OB has recommended I don't work now. (I was job hunting). No more tests right now. Baby just needs to grow. he is kicking up a storm today and I can finally feel it on the outside! I cant wait for DD and DH to feel it.

QOTW: We are having the room painted in two weeks. I'm excited to get working on his room.

The boys and I are doing okay. We will hit 26 weeks on Thursday. Last week we had a bunch of scares and 2 of them were for pre-term labor. They were able to get my contractions to thankfully stop. Our OB upped my pro cardia yesterday and he put me on tynole 3 also to help with the contractions and back pain. I can't believe our boys will be here soon any were from 7-10 weeks. I am also on strict bed rest.

QOTW: I really have all my goals done, thank goodness. My next medical goal is to get these boys to 32 weeks.

PurpleIris: This will be my last check in with you 2nd tri ladies. With having twins I am technically moving in to my 3rd and final tri.

I am 14 weeks today, can I join you ladies? I am having di/di twins from a day 3 transfer after IVF. This is my first (and most likely will be my only) pregnancy. The kiddos and I have been doing ok, although I am starting to feel more fullness and pressure in my abdomen. I am assuming it is just from the babies growing, my bump seems like it is starting to take shape rapidly all of the sudden! I don't go back to the OB until 16 weeks (I was last there at 12 weeks) so I am really anxious waiting!

QOTW: I want to start/finish my registry in the next few weeks. I also want to get the nursery more or less set up by the end of 2nd tri, and also have our names picked out. My husband is in the Army and there is a good chance he will be leaving for training in early November which will last anywhere from 2-4 months. I want to have all of those big important things done before he leaves in case he is not back before the birth. If everything works out in our favor he will be able to push this training off until after the birth, but I would rather be prepared just in case.

I am 21w5d. I'm going back to see the MFM this week. I'm hoping my cervix hasn't gotten much shorter since the last check. The babies are still very active, which is reassuring to be able to feel them so much.

QOTW: Although I don't know if I'll be able to get the nursery completely finished, I'd like to get it mainly done by the end of the second tri. I think my family is going to come help out, since I'm so limited in my activity level and can't really do much of it myself. We need to paint the walls, fix the closet, paint a bookshelf, and my mom is going to sew the crib skirts and sheets for me. I just picked out some fabric this weekend. We're still Team Green, so I had a hard time finding what I was looking for. I'd also like to have daycare figured out, which is something that I really need to be working on more than I have. I'm not sure if we'll be having any showers or not, so not sure I need to do a registry, but I have been working on some lists for my own use.

Welcome to the new 2nd tri posters!

I had my monthly OB appointment this morning and things are looking good at 23 weeks. DH was able to feel baby girl kicking on the outside this past week and that was so awesome! I got the paperwork at my appointment this morning for my glucose screening.

QOTW: I am hoping to go and physically register. I have a pretty good list going of what I want on it, now it is just the processes of narrowing things down. We would like to order a crib and paint the nursery this month too.

thanks!!!! yes, it's 2/4 although I think we're looking at closer to 12/31-1/7 but I like saying 2/4 because it's my birthday too!

I had my a/s yesterday and so far so good!. I'm 19 weeks and both boys weigh about 10 oz. My cervix is still very long and closed, so that makes me relieved. I'm starting to feel slightly stronger movements and can't wait to feel them from the outside!

Qotw: I would like to get started on everything by the end of this trimester. I am still too nervous to do anything, but hopefully I'll feel better once I reach viability. Maybe I'll have the nursery painted then and start registering for things.

Hello! Today was an eventful one as I spent 4 hours in L&D due to constant cramping. Luckily everything was ok and I wasn't having real contractions. I"m paranoid of cramps though b/c I went on bedrest with DS at 28 weeks due to PTL and I"m terrified it will happen again. ( he was born full term.) I have orders to take it easy today and I have my monthly appointment tomorrow.

QOTD: I really want to have the nursery done so if I do need bedrest I dont have to worry about any of that.

Hi everyone! I am 22 weeks today and I've really felt a lot of baby boy's movement lately. I tried to have DH feel last night because I think I am starting to feel the baby from the outside but of course he stopped kicking when DH put his hand on my tummy. Hopefully he will be able to experience this soon! Q: the room that will be the nursery is now empty and ready for painting. We have furniture picked out so I'd like to get moving on everything before I go back to work in Sept (I am a speech therapist working in schools). I have plans to register with my cousin's help on Thurs but she texted me yesterday that she's sick so not sure we'll go then or not. On a side note, I am watching A Baby Story right now and give big props to any of you planning on a natural birth. No way I could go through that. NO WAY....

At 15 weeks and excited to be almost to the halfway point! Still having issues with smells and a crazy gag reflex and lots of headaches lately, but starting to get some energy back and feeling more human again

QOTW: Since this is our second baby, don't think we'll do a regsitry again, although there will be almost a 6 year age gap between DD and this LO and we will have to buy a lot of things new. My MIL has offered to do a low key family shower, so we may do something like that, but really more to serve as a celebration than anything else. I would never expect another one since more people don't have showers for the 2nd, 3rd, etc. babies.

I think the biggest goal now is to get the nursery done. Since the fall and winter is very busy for both DH and I with our jobs, we decided to get a headstart and choose a gender neutral theme. We are doing a sock monkey theme with turqoise and pops of red as the main colors. Already have the walls painted, old trim removed, and new ceiling fan installed. Just need to order new carpet and put up the new trim. Then we'll probably wait to tackle more until after our A/S at the end of Sept.

Hi Everyone!!

Very excited to be joining you guys!! I was 14 weeks yesterday. All is going well, but I continue to be bery tired. Anyone else have fatigue into the second trimester? I have also been experiencing pubic sympysis pain, which gets worse during my 12 hour shifts at work on my feet. I'm very excited that I'm going to be cutting my hours down to 24 a week from 36, so hopefully that will help!! It's all worth it though!!! My next appt with OB isn't until the 23rd; will probably have my 18 week anatomy scan the 1st week in Sept. But I take occ peaks at my little man while at work.

QOTD: We need to buy a house and move out if our condo!!!! That's high priority right now!!

Hello,

I am 16 weeks and just had a doctor's appoitnment today and things were looking good. I have to do the glucose test early, since I am overweight just is fine. I am trying to eat as best as I can.

I have an ultrasound on Saturday and my anatomy scan end of the month. I am hoping she stays well.

So far, I have been working on the nursery. My babies will share a room, my dd is 2.5 so we have so far moved furniture and got little things like baskets and bedding. I still need to get the crib. I am waiting to make sure things are progressing well and will get it in a month or so.

That is about all. I am planning to stay home for a year with her and then it is day care, the same place my dd is starting preschool.

I just realized I am now in the 2nd tri too - LOL. I can't believe it! 14w1d with twins. I scheduled an elective gender scan for the 20th.

I've really only started working on our registry online so far. But my main goal is to get the office moved and the nursery painted by the end of Sept.

Hope you ladies are all doing well! not too much to report here, we had to switch our birthing center after we found out some not so good things about our old pick, but we are feeling better about our new choice. baby is kicking where I can feel it a little more, the stupid anterior placenta makes it harder, but I get a good strong kick here and there.

QOTW: What are your goals to get done before the end of the 2nd trimester

basically to get everything together, we still need to paint and start our child birthing classes soon so that's exciting

I'd like to join the check-in as well. My ticker should be changing to 14 weeks in about 40 mins. My EDD is 2/7 and I'm team blue. I am very happy to be out of first trimester; feeling so much better than I did a few weeks ago! QOTD: I have to find time to grab DH and start selecting items for our registry. It's so overwhelming to figure out which items are needed and which brands are best. I'm currently reading The Baby Bargains Book, but it's got so much information to remember!

I am 16 weeks now and still have to get my ticker back- the upgrade really messed up my siggy. I have an OB appointment next week then a/s the last week if August- cant wait!!

QOTW: I guess registry stuff though DH said I can't buy anything or set up the nursery until 20 weeks earliest!

I'm 17 1/2 weeks and trucking along. I have my anatomy scan in 3 weeks so no other real updates. I've been feeling good and baby girl appears to be healthy so far. I'm still not really showing yet, but I have gained 9 lbs. which feels very awkward on my short frame. Baby bump is starting to pop out a little.

QOTD: want to get nursery at least halfway complete. It's still a spare bedroom/office right now which overwhelms me. Daycare also stresses me out. We found one we love but I'm number 141 on the wait list. Apparently, every child are place has a long wait list where I live. I feel so behind. Should've put baby on WL before conceived. Lol
