How's your energy level?

I still feel like I have no energy! My house has been a mess since before the BFP and it still has never been completely clean. I somewhat blame getting rid of my coffee pot for lack of energy in morning, because I feel so useless without caffeine. I hate that I'm possibly that reliant on it (still drink bottled iced coffee in afternoon). Or that maybe I have just become super lazy from staying at home and sitting on the couch.

What about you ladies? Energy come back now that you're well into the 2nd tri...or is it just me/current lifestyle? (If you can't see my ticker I'm 14w6d).

I'm 16w4d and I'm still EXHAUSTED! This past week I've been napping most days and have still been really lethargic.
Eta: I'm also on pelvis rest though, so no exercise / walking to help with my energy levels.

  • My energy is slowly coming back. I no longer am falling asleep at my desk in the afternoons, but am still completely crashing (usually in sitting position on the couch) at 9:30pm.

  • Still low - I was hoping the feratin tablets would start making me a bit more lively but they haven't done that yet.  I have a tough time getting up but once I'm at work I'm fine.  I start to fade a bit around 2 and by 4:30 I'm ready to fall asleep.
  • I'm doing great! So lucky to be truly experiencing the honeymoon period they say second tri is about. Sorry that your energy is lagging. Can you get out and take a walk early in the morning to help with energy?

  • Since all I do all day is lay and sit down my energy sucks. Maybe it'll be better when I start classes on Monday but we'll see. I'll still be sitting all day then laying down when I get home.

  • I have energy in fits and starts. Some days it is great, others not so much. Motivation for me is the main problem.

  • I feel sooo much better now. I've had this new energy since last week or so. Going grocery shopping isn't such a huge chore anymore, and I actually want to stay up later than DH.

I'm sure eventually you'll get your energy back!

This is exactly me! It's certainly alot better than it used to be in first tri, and it's slowly been getting better. Finding motivation is definitely key! I've been trying to focus on getting things organized for when LO gets here and also starting my business, but some days it's hard to do much other than nap and watch movies.

  • My energy did come back once I hit 2nd tri but for the last week and a half I haven't been sleeping so I'm back to feeling zombie like.

  • I agree with the motivation thing. I cleaned out the garage this weekend, which was a big job. If I have momentum, I can accomplish things. Perhaps a routine that involves exercise will help, if I can ever get going. And get off TB! ;)

  • I just woke up and I am ready to go back to bed! Last week was not so bad, but this week ( week 18) has been really hard on me
  • Energy? What energy? Granted my job makes me run around all day which wears me out more. Last night after walking up the basement steps DH says "you just look like you're always out of breath!" I am, dear, I am.

  • I have no idea how I forgot about the sleeping thing haha I've been sleeping terribly the last few nights! I keep waking up because my hips are killing me (not to mention having to go to the washroom every 3 hours!)
I've been trying to have a nap in the afternoon to help me last until bedtime, and I haven't noticed too much of a drop in energy compared to usual though it does make me get grumpy VERY easily.

  • I'll have a good day -- I'll be out and about and doing stuff all day long. That's usually followed by 3 to 4 bad days. Even on the good days, I want to go to bed before 8pm.
  • 18 weeks and I was feeling like I was REALLY dragging still up until I started running again last week. It took everything in me to start exercising regularly again but it seems to have done the trick. I am sleeping better and feel better most of the day. :)

  • No energy :(( 15 weeks and feel more exhausted now than I have in the last few weeks. Glad I'm not the only one, but hopefully we will all feel better soon!
  • People ask me all the time if exhaustion has hit me and I say no. But in reality I think it has and I just don't know the difference anymore. I yawn all the time and I have no motivation or energy to do much. Last night I fell asleep on the couch at 7:30pm.

  • I'll be 18 weeks tomorrow and I finally feel like my energy is back. During the 1st trimester I took a nap every day. Now I am up and busying myself around in he afternoons. I feel like that's a big step!

  • At 16 weeks and my energy was at an all time high yesterday (and only yesterday haha). It might be Because I had an easy day at work! I came home around 7:30 last night and cooked dinner for DH (this is a first in about two months). The look of pure shock on his face was priceless!

Part of my issue all along had been really bad insomnia. I still can't sleep through the night and I think that's what my issue has been all along.
  • Do I feel less tired then first tri? I suppose, but compared to pre-pregnancy I'm still dragging ass. I have moments of "Oh! I feel ok!" and then I eat and lose all the wind in my sails.
