Let's talk shit.

LO has had on and off diarrhea since Sunday. It cleared up on Tuesday and most of Wednesday, but then came back Wednesday night. He is acting totally normal, eating fine, sleeping fine, no fever, etc. but he has some pretty bad diaper rash from all the pooing he has been doing lately. My mom is watching him today, but if he has diarrhea today I think I will call the doctor. Isn't it considered serious if they have diarrhea for more than 48 hours?

Should I go ahead and call the doctor? I am pretty laid back about stuff and my mom seems to think I should have called days ago. Is she right?? Thanks!

    He actually seems to be done teething for the first time in about 3 weeks! And he has never had this problem even during the worst of teething, so I don't think that is it.

    You lost me at poop.  I was excited to talk shiit.  

    We discussed different/weird poops at the 1 year appt.  I was a tad concerned because it is always different and sometimes offensively smelly when sometimes it is just plain smelly.  The doctor basically said that at this stage with all the new food, milk etc.  poop will always be different.  He then said just like you and i was really mad because he is sooo hot and I didn't want him to know I pooped.

    Dang it. I was all ready for "Oh snap! Here we go!" Lol

    Cal gets really runny poops during teething. However, to be on the safe side, and if you think he's done with teething for a minute, then yes, call the pedi.
