How long were you able to tandem feed?

My babies are 11 weeks old, Tandem feeding became a pain so I started pumping... All. I. Do. Is. Pump.
I want to go back to bf, but my dd is a lazy eater at the boob now, and will scream 15 min later in hunger.

My question is, how long did you tandem? I would like to go back but it's so hard. Even with the Boppy.

Is a new twin nursing pillow worth the investment this late in the game?

I tandem fed until 7-8 months. I always used the boppy. If your DD is not latching/feeding well, maybe you should call an LC to assist you guys in getting back to nursing.

Mine are not hear yet but from experience the boppy pillow SUCKS I have that and the my Brest friend twin delux nursing pillow. I got it for my singleton because it was so much larger and as fate would have it we get twins here in a few weeks LOL. But it's SO much better it helps support baby a million times better, for me it got my back positions just right and helped latching and feeding efficiently go smoother. Just over all way better than boppy which has no support, and is worth only using for helping baby sit up and tummy time not nursing ( I think) make the investment get the twin delux. Makes extended feeding so easy too especially at home when they get big and heavy. Hope that helps some. We will be EBF as we have with our other providing things go well because I hate pumping lol GL!!

Oh and also I used the twin delux for about 18 months with him until he would just crawl up and sit there nicely so it's not too late it supports a lot of baby and a nice amount of weight.

I tandem nursed until DD stopped nursing at 8 months. DS continued nursing until 9 months then he decided he was done, too. I wasn't quite ready to stop but there wasn't much I could do about it.

I am still tandem nursing at 10 months old. I use My Brest Friend pillow which makes a world of difference. I didn't invest in the pillow till the girls were 3ish months old. DD1 was a lazy eater, but with practice, she got a lot better and eats like a champ. Good luck!

Yes yes yes! Invest in a twin pillow. Still tandem feeding at 10 months and still using the pillow.

We still tandem nurse at 15 months. The My Brest Friend Twin Pillow was great in the beginning, however we stopped using it at 3 or so months. We use two boppys positioned on my sides while lying in bed to nurse now. There's a picture of their positioning for nursing in the link below.

Also, seeking the help of a LC is a great idea. The knowledge of a good LC is invaluable.

I tandem nursed until about 9 months, until I hurt my back & one of my boys became a consistent biter. I switched to pumping, which didn't last long. It just wasn't the same, obviously. Anyways, I didn't invest in My Brest Friend until about 2-3 months later, & it was SO worth it. I was using boppy pillows, but the bigger they got, the more they rolled off. My Brest Friend is a good investment, in my opinion, especially if you plan to BF for awhile.

My boys are almost 6 months old and we are still tandem feeding. I stopped using the brest friend nursing pillow months ago, and even when I did use it, it was only at night. I use 2 bed pillows since I found that to be more comfortable for both me and the boys.
