Which packnplay?

I cannot decide lol. I know it's really not a big deal. But for a lil bit our LO will be sleeping in it. So I'm trying to decide between the Graco rittenhouse with cuddle cove and changing station or the Chico I think it's lullaby lx. It's grey and black with changing station, night light, and toys hang above. But no bassinet. But not sure how long I wld use the bassinet and we have a swing also. Any suggestions lol. I can't make a decision for some reason and I'm driving DH crazy with it. Haha

Re: Which packnplay?

  • This will really depend on your situation. We got this one because I like the idea of the napper/changer and it has the bassinet. She'll sleep in this until we get a crib in a couple months.

  • Yes we are also not getting a crib for a lil bit. But we have a great swing. Plus in the pack n play without bassinet I figured we cld use the boppy pillow. But wasn't sure.
  • Not sure how you are planning to use the boppy pillow, but you're not really supposed to have anything in there with the baby such as pillows, loose blankets, stuffed animals, etc.

  • I have the Chicco with the changing table, I used it a lot for my DS. But mostly as a changer not to sleep in except when we traveled. I have a feeling I will use it more this time to keep LO out of my 2 year olds reach while she's sleeping. I would recommend it, it held up very well and is easy to open and close.
  • Ok I guess that sounded dumb. Lol. FTM here. No boppy at night.
  • We have the Chicco op is talking about. Love it

  • I have a standard Gracco with a napper/changer. It's the $99 one.

  • The bassinet really just means there's an option for the bottom to be at a higher height. I believe they all do this. Honestly, this is all you need.

We had the one with the newborn napper and changing station. On day 1 home, I took them off and never used them again. The napper is very plush, and babies are supposed to sleep on flat firm surfaces. So my son slept on just the bassinet part, not the napper.

And since they're so small and don't roll at all, it was very easy to lay him on one side to sleep, and on the other side to change diapers, and really not worry that he'd be sleeping where we changed him! By the time they can actually roll, you won't be using the PNP as a changing table anyway!

This is the one we just got. It took me forever to make the decision too. I just put it together and absolutely love it! The napper is very plush but it won't be used for nights. I don't know if they all have the ability to bring the bottom floor up to make a bassinet or I probably wouldn't have gone with the more expensive one. This was my dads gift to us so he was more than willing to splurge on his first grand baby. Good luck!
