Discreet Childproofing

DS will be 2 in October, but is showing signs that we may need to convert his bed into a toddler one soon. Anyways DH is very against ruining our walls to tether dressers to them. Anyway to do this without damage? I also need to figure out something to keep him out of a closet with a folding type door,. Thanks!

Re: Discreet Childproofing

  • Does the closet have 2 bifold doors?  If so, you can use a dog collar- the kind with a clip.  Wrap it around the door knobs and tighten it so it holds them together.  As for the dressers... we have straps that fasten to the wall behind them and you can't see them at all.  They don't leave any more of a mark than hanging a picture on the wall.

  • You can get clear plastic bars that go on the top of bifold doors to lock them. Furniture tethers don't damage the walls too much...couple of screw holes and they can save your child's life. Don't forget to tether the TV.
