New toy ideas/activities for Fall?

Now that summer will be over soon, a lot of toys that I picked recently we will not be using as much. (outside toys) I wanted to buy a couple small things for E because she is quickly outgrowing her toys.

Anyone have some educational toy recommendations? Or any fun indoor activities that we could do together once the weather starts turning cooler?

TIA :)

  • Thank you! The cube looks like a lot of fun. We signed E up for swimming lessons. They start in a week and a half :) We signed up for Sunday lessons so DH could take her too.

  • Swimming lessons will be fun! We did one round and DS seemed bored with the songs lol I didn't really like singing them either! My dad is bringing a sandbox for him for the weekend, don't know if you  have one already but I think he'll like it. In the winter I've heard of people putting it inside with those balls and make a ball pit.

@mtb21 This will be E's first swimming lesson. The class runs from the end of August until the middle of December. The lessons are at our gym's indoor pool. I take her there a lot and she loves it.

We have a huge water table/sand table outside. Because we rent our house, I am hesitant bringing it inside because we do not have the room, and are house in mainly carpeting.

  • You could fill a little bucket with beans and rice and let her find objects in them (like plastic dinosaurs or matchbox cars).
We actually have that exact cube that was linked, too. I got it for free through a local facebook group! Alex loves it. He's also really into puzzles these days, so maybe that's something to think about? He plays with his Ikea train set often and for about 15 minutes at a time.

I think the swim lessons are a great start and it will be great to get out of the house during the colder and rainier season. I take Alex to My Gym (free play) when it's too hot or rainy, do you have something like that in Scotland?

We have indoor soft plays that I take E to, but they are not free. The price isn't too bad though.
