We got rid of all except the basic broadcast channels a year ago. The only thing I miss is HGTV

The only thing I miss about having cable is HGTV too.

I sometimes think I miss it, then I go somewhere where they have it and I remember how crappy it is. I watch whatever I want on the Internet.

We haven't had cable since March 2012. We have Hulu and Netflix connected to our TV by Roku. We just moved into a temporary apt that has basic cable which includes HGTV and TLC. All I have been watching! But it's more of "on in the background while I'm on the computer" so I am not really going to miss it once we move into our new house. We only have one tv too. I may have my DH convinced to buy another for our bedroom when we move.

Ugh! We have Directv because there is no cable where we live. DH and I have been talking about getting rid of it, but I sure was glad to have it when I was nursing my dd what seemed like ALL the time. It really is mostly commercials and junk now, though. Sigh.
