I have tried every store and every website. Big box stores stuff is far too busy for the décor I have planned. Most websites don't have "bedding in a bag" type deals and are outrageously priced. I found one at Pottery Barn Kids but OMG the price. I have even asked around to see if I know anyone who is capable of sewing a set for me if I buy everything they need. WTF is my issue. With DS we had a simple theme and found the perfect set, bought it, done deal. Originally I just wanted to buy a few crib sheets from Aiden and Anais and call it a day but my mom is giving me a hard time about wanting to buy her a full set and I just don't get why it needs to be a full set. She keeps saying she has to have a quilt or blanket to go over the side of her crib b/c it looks nice. I never once used DS's blanket and in fact it now is at his school for naptime and has been for a year. I appreciate their generosity, but why can't it be simple. This is such a stupid problem to have. I'm totally whining.

I am not wild about themes. I admire people who can make them work but I am not one of those people. Her room will be a half wall of white wainscoting, a half wall of white or very light pink paint, a grey quote over her dresser on one side and a grey and white cherry blossom wall deal over her crib. I am trying to decide on pale pink or light grey chiffon curtains, and a pretty but simple chandelier. I want to keep it simple. She will be going in DS's room and he is moving to a bigger room. His room is wainscoting and a deep blue half wall with a huge white pirate ship above the bed and a white quote above his dresser (so same idea just more gender specific). His bedding came with the crib set, mobile, valance and lamp. But it just worked so I lucked out with his.
I've explained to my mom multiple times what I want and that it really is coincidentally the cheapest option, so I think at this point I am just going to buy it myself and call it a day.
When I showed her the Pottery Barn set I think liked (on sale) she flipped over the price because it doesn't come with a bumper pad and zomg she needs bumpers. No mother dear in all actuality she really doesn't. Anyway none of it is here nor there really and it's a stupid thing to stress about at 32 weeks pregnant lol.
One side question I do have, the crib we purchased has a storage drawer at the bottom, would a crib skirt even show at the bottom or end up tucked in? It's the Storkcraft Vittoria in white. It looks like I can play around a bit and see what looks best, based on google images.

This is the wall decal that I want, and I am trying to put it all together around this. Any ideas would be lovingly appreciated

I don't want anything too busy either and came across these. I don't necessarily care for pink but there are other color options available. What about something like this?

That's my whole point, that yes the set was cute for DS and it did make completing the look easier with the valance and the lamp and such. However, I never used the quilt because he HATED being covered up and I only used the back bumper not the front or sides. So yes, it was a huge waste of cash. I find it so odd that she's almost forcing me to waste her money. It's odd lol. It's not like they haven't done thing for us or baby girl either. They bought ALL of her furniture brand new (crib, dresser, change table) because DS's was an old set handed down which was great for him but not in good enough shape to last through another LO. I cannot express enough how grateful I am that they're being so insanely generous, but let me save you money lady!!
