We also have LG front loaders. Love them!!! It was my pushing gift... not really but ours broke a week before DD was born so it's a little joke we have. Anyway, I didn't want the pedestals because I fold and set things on top of them. I'm pretty short so it's easier for me to bend down then hang over a top loader. Plus since they're both front loading I have a lot more folding space on top. We got them at Sears and got a great deal.
I ended up going with LG front loaders too!! But the pedestals were too expensive (would have been $500) so I have found some tutorials on Pinterest for my hubby to look at and come up with something. Our laundry room isn't finished (and that suited my 1990's top loaders anyway) but now that I have some sparkly new appliances coming he better get on that!
We have the samsung front loaders - LOVE LOVE LOVE them! They are quiet, clean great, and I really can't say anything bad about them. We did not get the pedestals....I personally think they make the units too tall and I like to fold the clothes on top of the units. We put these in our laundry room under a granite counter so folding is easy and all of my laundry products are stored in a nice cabinet right next to the machine.
HATE MY FRIGIDAIRE FRONT LOADER!!! Apparently, the front loaders don't use enough water to break down the enzymes in baby spit, milk, etc.. All LO 's freshly washed clothes that haven't been worn awhile (like her newborn and 3 month clothes) have turned brown.

That sucks. The front loaders definitely use less water and soap but the way the cycle is done it should actually get them cleaner. Our clothes are much cleaner with the front loader than our old top loader and the drying time is WAY shorter because the wash cycle spins them so much better. Are yours still under warranty? You might want to have them checked.
