Not enough fat in milk?

I can only ever hand express 1.5 - 2oz at a time, even though I know I have a ton of milk still in there. I don't have the time to be washing pump parts so I just hand express for "just incase" bottles. I've noticed once the milk separates in the fridge there is only a thin layer of fat on top. Does that mean I'm only getting out the fore milk??

    I would guess you are mainly getting foremilk. But for a just in case bottle that should not be a big deal. Extra foremilk occasionally will not hurt anything.


    I have a Daughter born 2/26/2013. She is pretty much amazing!
