Help me please

She was up crying 10 times last night. Every hour. I fed her 5 times, gave Tylenol in case it is teething, rocked, tried to let her sleep in bed with me, I tried everything I could think of. I did not sleep last night and now here I am at work half disheveled. I want to give her back. Help me.

Re: Help me please

  • I have no advice. I am in the same boat. I even put baby tv on last night
    terrible night
    last week was bad too.
I've been beyond stupid at work these days.

  • I just noticed I'm wearing an old ratty vest that doesn't fit anymore and flip flops. I can't go in lab in flip flops.
  • I tugged her ears and it didn't make her wince. She has a checkup tomorrow so I can ask.
  • Ibuprofen. Try that instead of Tylenol. DS1 stopped responding to Tylenol and Ibuprofen was the only thing that worked. At 6 months with DS2 I went straight to Advil instead of using Tylenol. I've only given it to him a few times but it has always helped.

  • Also bad sleep the last few nights here.  Last night was up at 3:15 and I tried to let him self-soothe and he just cried hysterically even after I finally went in there.  Exhausted AND feeling like worst mom ever.  I'm thinking teeth plus sleep regression from all the new stuff he is learning.

  • I can't even do arithmetic today, this is a whole new level of exhaustion.

    Thanks for the support ladies.

I'm so sorry. I know this all too well. It's a level of sleep deprivation that I think only a person w a baby can understand bc no sane person would let themselves get this far gone. You feel totally insane.

  • I'm considering asking to sleep in the nurse's office.  High school flashback.
  • Is there a 9 month growth spurt?

Because last night reminded me of that nightmare 3-week-old fiasco.

  • I have often found that a really bad night is followed by a good night. I hope you get your good night tonight. Hugs.

  • My LO has been having similar nights.  Last night he even refused to nurse!  He never does that!  The screamfest lasted two hours.  I am beyond exhausted as well.  I just keep on thinking about a comment posted here on the bump, "My worse night is probably someone else's best night".

Yes, I think it was @ThisisBrea who said that.  I kept thinking this over and over last night every time I rolled back out of bed...

This was true for us as well. We use Motrin and it works like a charm. However, we've had nights like this too. I feel for you. Working and sleep deprivation are not good combos.
