Hey everybody ! I was wondering if anybody has anything to say how Lakeside is ? This is my first time delivering there and I was just wondering if there is anything I should know or maybe hear somebody's expercience. Thanks girls !
I am delivering there in March! I love my OB. I also know several of the nurses that work OB because I went to nursing school with them and definitely trust them with my baby! I am in nurse anesthesia school, but do not know too much about their anesthesiology department. I know that they do have residents, but if you are uncomfortable with a resident putting in an epidural or spinal, just ask for the attending staff. Hope this helps!
I had a wonderful experience there, no complaints at all! A lot of the L&D rooms have been renovated since Isaac too, so that is a plus.
I adore my OB (Dr. Amy Grace), who delivers there. Super convenient, because her office was just right next door, so I didn't worry about her not being there or close-by on the day I was in labor.
I also like that it's a smaller hospital... easy for family/friends to come visit, don't have to worry about giant parking garages, pay for parking, etc.
Oh, and a resident placed my epidural and did a WONDERFUL job! That thing worked like a charm!! It was my first epidural so I don't have much to compare to, but in my opinion it was exactly the way it should be.... felt no pain, but could still kinda move my legs around, adjust myself in bed, etc.
no experience as im a new mommy. but my bff delivered her first baby at oschner and didn't like it. next delivery was at East Jeff and she said it was much better. I'm thinking about giving Touro at shot.

She's my doctor as well. I delivered in February and had a great experience.
