I pity your vaginas

I had to go to LD today for preterm labor. This happened with my last two pregnancies and they were able to stop it all three times thank god. I just have to say hats off to all you vaginal birth gals out there. I respect and admire every single one of you! My contractions hurt so friggin bad today, I cannot even begin to fathom how bad they can actually get. This will be my 3rd c section and today I am very grateful for that!

  • I got to endure labor last time before me c/s, and I am so thankful that I will be going straight to a c/s this time. I just hope they my recovery is as easy as the first time.

  • @CousinVikki Modified bedrest. My doc gave me a prescription to stop contractions if they start again. I just have to wait it out another 3 weeks...then I can let the contractions go and see what happens.
  • @scarver, I totally agree! I said after our first that I would do the labor and delivery 10 times over if it meant I didn't have to recover! Recovery is so awful! I'm hoping for no episiotomy this time so that may help, but hopefully I'm a little more prepared for what to expect than last time. No one talks about it so much, they cover everything else too much! Oh, and engorgement, not loving the idea of that again either!
  • Holy crap god bless your lady bits. I'll deal with a little scar any day thank you very much. I'm going to go kiss my first born now for being breech lol.

And that is why I call it Vaginageddon.

I haven't even done it yet, but I've seen video.  It's burned into my brain.

And I'm sure it will be burned into your lady bits as well lol!
  • Recovery was not fun but was bearable.
I was still being stitched up after having DS when I looked at DH and said "I'd do that again."

  • No matter what, it's always worth doing again! The outcome is priceless!

  • Yeah, it's funny how different people's experiences can be. I'm FTM but all my friends who went natural had very minimal tearing and pretty easy recovery down there. They claim because they really knew when to push better then with drugs. It' s one of the reasons I'm all in for natural.

It's a sight you will never unsee.

Yeah, I had no pain drugs and I still didn't know what the fuck I was doing, when to push, how to and when to, etc. I'm crossing my fingers that this time I will be more in tune and let the contractions guide me. I also had minimal tearing and an easy recovery. I never had the first monster post partum poop that btdt moms tell you about, either.
LOL I had the shits so bad after DS was born... I definitely didn't have to deal with the frightening monster poo everyone talks about either. One thing about getting an epidural, it seems they tend to wear off enough by the end that you can for sure feel the contractions and when to push. That's how I felt anyway. I'm so anxious to see how this labor goes. It's hard not knowing exactly how things will play out!

Yeah did not the first time and won't the second- no thank you to that!

    OH HELL NO.

  • I never had that scary first poop either. I was so scared. It was like any other poop.
And my epi seemed to start letting up when it was close to time to push. I couldn't feel my contractions though because DS was face up and that put an excruciating amount of pressure on my right hip.
