How long does your LO sleep at night and how many weeks old are they?
My 5 week old is still only sleeping 3 hours at night before we get the hunger cry. Is there anything we can do to help her sleep longer stretches? we do have a bedtime routine.
O sleeps 4-6 hours a night, typically. He sometimes wakes up at 3 hours or so. He is 6 weeks. not sure if there is anything to make them sleep longer, I think if there was, we would all be doing it.
We have a bedtime routine. Bath, then dress, and nurse every night starting at 730 or so.
About 6-7 hours. Generally she goes down at 10 and wakes at 5 or 6. I've noticed when she is swaddled really well she sleeps through the night (when daddy does it, lol). I'm not so constrictive apparently, because she will wake at 2 when I swaddle her. So I think that is our trick!
DD is 7 weeks today and she started sleeping 6-7 hour stretches this week. Then we usually get another 4 hour stretch. She didn't start STTN til after the six week growth spurt and she starts cluster feeding around 6 until she goes down around 11:30. Evenings are exhausting, but at least I get to sleep now!
She usually sleeps a good 5-6 hour stretch at some point in the night, usually in her swing. After that, I bring her into our room where she sleeps 2-3 hours in the bassinet between feedings.
Usually I get 5-9 hours a night but she is in a growth spurt so it's every 3-4 hours at night right now.
ETA - I made this sound like she's a champ sleeper during a growth spurt. IF she sleeps, it's for 3-4 hours. Last night, she only slept 4 hours total.
B is 9 weeks. He usually sleeps about a 4-6 hour stretch, followed by a 2-4 hour stretch. One time, he went 8 hours... it was awesome, but I was up at 6 hours because my boobs were too full and I had to pump.
Normally she'll give us one 6 hour stretch and then a 4 hour stretch but last night she gave us almost 8! She slept from 10 to almost 6! She's 7 and a half weeks old.
Evie is 7.5 weeks and sleeps at most 4 hours at night. She does not sleep well flat in her crib but sleeps like a champ in the RnP. After two nights of waking every 2-3 hrs, we're caving and letting her sleep in the RnP tonight. Mama needs to sleep too!
My two month old sleeps from 10 pm until 6 am usually. He won't go to bed any earlier, and DH and I stay up late, so we feed him, then nighty night! It's lovely having him sleep better than dd who was a colicky nightmare. We were lucky to get two hours straight for three months.

This may be an UO, but try propping her on her side in her crib, when she's just about to fall asleep. Works like a charm with DS, as long as we leave his arms free and make sure if he rolls he can't roll on his belly. I tuck the blanket on both sides, but sort of lean him towards his back, if that makes sense. Sometimes DH swaddles him too.
I learned from dd that some babies just aren't comfy on their backs, but if you let them sleep other ways they're comfy.

We've tried that - kind of propping her on her side when she's swaddled. We've also tried unswaddled, elevating one end of the mattress, putting my shirt in the crib (so she can smell me) - nothing works. I'm going to ask the pedi about reflux medication (she's got other signs of it).

LO is 8 weeks old.

Most nights LO goes down at 9:30, is up at 2:30, goes back down by 3 and won't get up again until anywhere between 6 and 8.
SOMETIMES, maybe twice a week, she will STTN.
She's 9 weeks.
