We are chugging along still and things seem to be going well. This wednesday we have our "dating" ultrasound (which is funny because I know exactly when we conceived!) and I am so excited to see little peanut! I'm nervous too, but hopefully we will get a reassuring heartbeat and we can both relax a little.
QOTD: Having my baby in my arms! Also, I'm excited for my wife to be post-post-partum and back to her very level-headed self
My name is A, I am wife to J. After 7 months of ttc and one MC, we are expecting two baby girls in 2014!
My wife is a bit overwhelmed by all the childbirth education. I love it. Three nights per week we have classes together - hypnobirthing, bradley, and prenatal. It is a lot of information to digest but I'm loving it. My wife thinks I should become an instructor LOL
I think you would be awesome at that -- or a doula!
Married my wife 8/2007 ~ TTC #1 since 7/2011 9 IUIs = 9 BFNs IVF October 2012: 22 eggs retrieved, 17 fertilized, 5 frozen ET #1: 1 blast = BFP; Blighted ovum discovered at 7w5d; D&E FET #1: 1 blast = BFP; Missed m/c discovered at 9w5d; D&E Karyotyping: normal ~ RPL Testing: normal ~ Hysteroscopy: normal FET #2: 1 blast transferred 10/25; BFP 10/31! EDD 7/13/14 ~ Induced at 37w4d due to pre-eclampsia ~ Born on 6/28/14 *Everyone welcome*
@herbabymama - happy upcoming V day to you! Hoping you enjoy your baby moon. I went to Key West years ago and enjoyed it.
We had our 24-week appt this morning. HB was strong and the doctor pointed out how to feel his head! So neat! Not that I'll be able to find it on my own, but it was pretty cool to know how he's positioned without an ultrasound. I'm measuring perfectly, so all is good!
Not much else baby- related is going on. Will start working on nursery later this month. My to-do list for the week: 1) call insurance about breast pump options, and 2) start looking for pediatrician.
QOTD: obviously looking forward to bonding with baby and enjoying our first Christmas with our son. I'll also admit to looking forward to a nice glass of red wine (strategically timed, of course, since I'll be BF).
I will be 22 weeks on Thursday. Things are good but I feel so tired. I suppose running after a toddler does that to you, even when you're not pregnant!
I am looking forward to us meeting our son and to see Bean with him. She doesn't really understand what is going on, but gives my belly hugs and kisses. She also picks her baby doll up by the head and drops her on the floor, so we still have some things to work on
Things are good here at 32 weeks. I've run out of things to build for the moment, so I've shifted to baby related reading this week. I am basically on my own this month during the week so lots of good quiet time. Like sparkles, we are finding amusement in how the baby reacts and moves. When S arrived home on Saturday morning, she started talking to the baby and she went crazy for probably about 10 minutes. It was awesome! I hope we always remember that. I'm also starting to see some stretch marks. . It's worth it though. I had my breast feeding class Friday night and also toured the hospital last week. It got even more real. I plan to run to court in the morning and change my name. I'm sad to let go of my name but everyone having the same name in our house is important to me. So, to court I go!
I look forward to seeing what the baby looks like. I also can't wait to see S hold the baby. I also can't wait to hear the little baby noises. .

I am 20.3 weeks today, and according to my app(s) lol he is the size of a banana. I have hit several points in my pregnancy that I consider milestones. I am high risk due to "advanced maternal age" (I'm only 37 lol) but I get to see bean every month and my insurance has covered a lot of tests, etc. I had the harmony test for genetic anomalies, and bean passed with flying colors. That test is also how I got to find out what he was before my and my amazing ob/gyn saw it on ultrasound. I had beans anatomy scan about two weeks ago and he has all of his guts and everything is growing great!!! So now I just have to continue to grow him nice and big, and wait for him to come out and meet me!! That is the moment I can't wait for. I already love this little guy so much!! Last week I started feeling him move, just a little at first, but now he moves daily and it is amazing!!!!! I started this journey with a partner, but have sense been put in the position to do this on my own, which I am fine with, but I have sad days when I am doing something that we were planning. I just try my best to focus on bean and getting everything ready for him when he comes. My mom is super excited and is coming to visit me this week so we can shop for bean stuff, so that will be fun!! Anyway, that is the very short story of my pregnancy thus far. I am so glad to have found this board and hope everyone has a great evening!
