ET with hcg infusion

I just received a call from the RE office asking if I'd like to participate in a research trial they're doing where they infuse HCG right before ET. Have any of you heard of this ...  ? They said studies have been done on 3-cells that show a 15% increase in pregnancy rate and they'd like to see what happens with blastocysts?  They also say there's no negative impact (but i find that skeptical....?)....  thoughts??

    I have read about this.  I wish my RE would do it.

     36 DH 33 TTC for over 3 years
    First mini-IVF Sept 2011... Only 1 egg! ... BFN
    Switching RE
    IVF#2 May 2012 9 eggs and only 2 sperm, WTH!
    BFN
    IVF #3 March 2013~Tesa with back-up Donor Sperm,Tesa, unsuccessful used DS~ Chemical :(   

    Switching RE's within practice

    2 frosties waiting for us, November 2013!!!!!   Transferred 2 "average" blasts 11/20/2013
    BFP!!!!!!!  Boy/Girl Twins!!!!!! Due 08/08/2014

    thats the same exact article they sent to me to review

    so you think i should try for it? i'm going to ask DH and see what he thinks.  don't get me wrong I love science etc but when your own embies are at risk you never know what the right decision is...

    I know that there are some ladies who have been on hcg booster shots after ET.  I think @krdesi was one...

    Me: 31, PCOS DH: 37, low morph and low counts

    4 medicated TI, 1 IUI+Femara, 1 IUI+GonalF = BFNs
    IVF #1 Lupron/GonalF (Dec 2012)= 30R, 21M, 21F with ICSI, 18 HIP frosties!!!
    FET in August 2013

    I've had three failed IVF's...  I'm sorta at the end of my rope.  So I would.

    Wasn't me :)  Haven't made it to ET yet. I just had my hcg trigger shot.

    I think this is what my RE wants to try for our next cycle (#3).  I'm curious about it too!
    Me: 34 DH: 40
    Removed ovarian cysts in Mar 2010 & removed left ovary in May 2010
    TTC since Oct 2011
    Sep 2012 IUI #1 Natural cycle BFN
    Sep 2012 IUI #2 Natural cycle BFN
    Oct 2012 IUI #3 Natural cycle BFN
    Nov 2012 removed uterine polyp
    Feb 2013 IVF #1 ER 2/8: 13R,6M,6F, 3dt of 1 6-cell & 1 7-cell embie, beta hell resulted in blighted ovum.
    June 2013 IVF #2 cancelled due to lining too thick
    July 2013 IVF #2.1 ER 7/9, 9R,4M,2F, 3dt of 2 8-cell embies, BFN

    I've read about this. I would def try it if it doesn't have any negative effects.
    Me:PCOS, fibroids DH: no issues 
    TTC for 3 years. IVF #1 in Jan 12 - severe OHSS; miscarriage at 11 weeks
    2 myomectomies and 6 hysteroscopies in 2012 and 2013.
    FET in Aug 2013 BFP

    Im doing that this cycle but intrauterine hcg shot day before frozen embryo transfer. THe thought is that once a normal pregnancy develops embryos give off the hcg, but since its not a natural pregnancy, they put in the hcg to make the embryos feel right at home. Im doing this and its my second ivf (frozen this time though). My dr said usually done for women with multiple ivf failures. He said it would increase my chances, so Im going for it.

     

    Me:: 32 DH: 37

    TTC since 2008

    8+ IUI's

    IVF June 2013 fresh 2 grade 1 embryos-BFN

    IVF frozen transfer Aug 16 2013- 3 embryos=SUCCESS!!!

    DH and I decided not to participate in the study.... There's no way i would know which treatment i received ...

    If you want to increase your odds I would ask them to just do the procedure. at my dr office, its just the cost of IM hcg which was $85 and a reg office visit
