Second a/s anyone?

So I got a phone call yesterday that nothing is wrong with the baby, but they wanted to get some better measurements of a few things that didn't show up as clear as they'd like. Anyone else have this? Was the 2nd one the same? I'm kind of excited to get to spend some time with LO on the big screen again. This one will be at 22 weeks (last one was 19).

I will have a second one in September (at 28 weeks) just to make sure he's growing properly (due to my medication). They aren't worried (thank goodness), but want to monitor him to be on the safe side.

I'm getting a 2nd done at 24 weeks because my girl wouldn't fully cooperate for the 20 week scan. She wasn't moving her body much and her legs were crossed so I guess it was hard to get everything they needed.

I'm having a second done on the 23rd.. They couldn't get a good profile shot of baby or a good pic of the outflow tracks of the heart, so I'm going back to see LO again soon.. Hopefully he'll cooperate this time.

Yes, I had a second one b/c I was referred to a perinatal dr. My dr. wanted the followup b/c my uterus is slightly heart-shaped, but the perinatal dr. didn't think it would be an issue. It was fun to see LO again! I think b/c they have to monitor the uterus I will get them regularly, and I don't mind.

I have my second one on Thursday for better picture of the heart and face. I'm excited to see LO again also!

Yep. I'll be having a second one at my next appointment, around 24 weeks. Last one was at 18 weeks, and they just couldn't see everything they needed to on the heart because of the way she was positioned. I'm not sweating it right now, but I'll probably be flipping out the day before my appointment! GL -- hope everything goes fine.

I've had to have three. The last one I had to go to MFM office for a Level 2 ultrasound. My baby doesn't want to change positions and it makes it hard to see everything clearly. I had to go back once because they needed a face picture and a spine picture. Then, I was sent to the level 2 a/s so they could get a better picture of the heart.

I have another on on 8/14 to confirm that the parvo virus hasn't started affecting the baby since the first one on 8/1. I assume they will look at all the same measurements they did the first time and confirm everything is normal. That's what I would expect to see at your 2nd as well.

We had our first this morning at 20 weeks the tech said dr will most likely be calling to schedule a 2nd one because he wasn't able to get good heart measurements baby was not wanting to move in right positions.

Yup. It's a nerve- wracking call but my doc told me everything is fine. I go back for more measurements on Friday.
