I bled for about a week. By the time I got home from the hospital it was pretty light. I didn't feel better until about 2 weeks PP, then it took me a full 6 weeks to feel more like myself.
I bled for about 2 weeks. I felt nearly normal after 3 weeks - could get out of the house on my own and drive a car, etc. The first week was the hardest by far.
I bled very very lightly for a week or two. I stopped taking the pain meds because that was what was keeping me from driving and I wanted to be able to get out of the house. I didn't need my pain meds after two days of being home. Was just on 800mg of IBpruophin. I had a pretty easy recovery and was feeling good with in a couple weeks.
I bled for about 2 weeks after delivery. It was only really heavy and gushing in the hospital, and by the time I was discharged (4 days later) it was light enough for a thin pad. In c/s they can clean things up in there a bit better so you should have less bleeding afterwards than a vaginal birth.
As for recovery, I had a rough one. It took me a solid 4 weeks to feel even remotely normal. I was in a lot of pain, and part of that could be because I didn't take the prescription Percocet they gave me. I have bad reactions to narcotic pain meds so I just used Tylenol, which wasn't nearly strong enough.
I didn't bleed for more than a week/week and a half, and it was really light after a few days. I think they cleaned me out pretty well after taking the baby out. That's what took the longest during the c/s. Baby was out within minutes. DH almost missed it, they were taking her out as he was coming up to me. Luckily he had the camera ready to go. Anyways, with my first, recovery took a bit longer and I didn't feel myself for a few weeks. With my second, I was up and about within a week. For me, it was easier the second time around.
