Night Out Against Crime

Tonight is National Night Out Against Crime. Look to see if your local police department is doing anything. Our PD gets together with other agencies and has a cookout. We've gone the last two years. The kids can get in police, fire, and other vehicles used in emergencies. Sometimes they even bring in the police helicopters and Lifeflight. 

I'm a little sad it is the night before school this year. :( I doubt we go.

    We've done this in the past and it's fun. Plus, getting to see police up close makes them less intimidating to kids. (We don't start school until 9/4, it's so early where you live.)
