And the morning sickness is here to stay...

It appears that this little one isn't interested in sparing me to "fun" of morning sickness. It has officially inhabited my daily living and likes to rear it's ugly head when I'm least expecting it. Last week I started having a little nausea here and there and threw up once and now it's becoming an all day occurrence.. yay! :( Was really hoping to not have this part this time around. Called the doc for meds today, and just hoping to make it through the day. Anyone else?

  • oh I feel you. mine started around 2 weeks and I couldn't eat. the thought of food made me run to the bathroom. I'm not sure exactly how far along I am yet but I did have a break from the nausea for 2 days and now it is back full force. I'm estimating 6 weeks but not sure yet.

    Hang in there!

  • Amen to that sister! I'm almost 8 weeks and once I hit the 6 week mark I had "all day" nausea. Now I am throwing up and feeling sick all throughout the day no matter what I eat.

  • I'm 8 weeks along and I don't really have any symptoms either...from what I've been told it's totally normal, but don't worry, it could hit us at any point in time.  I'm really hoping I don't get sick like that though... I really feel for you ladies. :(  I'm sorry you're so sick!!  Why is it even called morning sickness if it's all day?

I have none of what you are talking about and it scares me I'm 6 weeks 2 days. No symptoms at all. Is that bad? This is my first "known pregnancy" had a m/c in march but I didn't realize I was pregnant till it was too late

I understand your worry, but trust me, don't wish for it any sooner than it's coming!
when and if it does hit you, you're gonna have your head in that toilet wishing you were 6w2d again! Lol

I found out I was pregnant at 5wks and was jumping for joy that I didn't have any morning sickness.....until it hit me halfway thru my 7th week...now I'm 11w1d and I've had everything from days of throwing up only once in the morning to literally throwing up every 30 minutes and not even being able to keep water down. and as an extra added bonus, sometimes it hits you so hard and fast that you can't make it to a restroom in time... hence why I threw up in a planter at the mall the other day.
    :-& :-O :-t :-S

trust me girl, more likely than not, your time will come... you're still fairly early ;)
  • I'm 6w5d and have been getting waves of nausea here and there. I've been able to control it by shoving a couple of crackers in my stomach. I am dreading the day I actually get sick.. I don't do well with vomiting!

  • How do you manage to work if you have severe morning sickness like that?  I'm a teacher, I can't throw up every 30 minutes!

  • Morning sickness sucks. My OB recommended vitamin b6. I cut a 100mg tablet in half and take twice a day. It's helped tremendously. I'm actually surprised how much it's helped.

Same here. I start school aug 20th which will begin week 7. I teach PE so running to the locker room might not be as difficult but ill be running around all day and no place to sit down. I may have to tell my principal earlier than I want that I'm expecting.

My vomiting lingered until 20 wks. with my first! This time, I haven't vomited in the past week! Really hoping it doesn't come back. I'm not sure if its gone away because I'm nearing the end of my first tri, or if its because I started taking B6 vitamin. It stopped about 3 days after I started the vitamin!

  • Oh yes! I started at 6 1/2 weeks and within a couple days, it was so bad that I started throwing up water if I could manage to drink it. This is my first so I wasn't sure what to expect but now I know, so next time.. I'll be prepared! I had to call my dr and she prescribed me zofran. It worked miracles, I took it the first day and ended up eating dinner and making cookies :-) I found recently though that it isn't working as well anymore so I need to talk to my dr. I hope the meds work well for you! If they don't completely take away the nausea, they should at least help you with the vomiting. SO.. Good luck!!

I have a friend who is a teacher and was sick for the first half of her pregnancy. She worked it out with the principal and teacher next to her that if they saw her run to the bathroom, they need to take over her room. A couple times she ended up throwing up in her trash can. There really isn't a good option since you have NO control over your body.
