    Yes, you are looking for a handout. Just because you're 'preggers' doesn't mean it's not a handout... for baby number three.That being said, I have no idea if you qualify since I don't work in Medicare disbursement. nbsp;I would maybe check with your clinic/hospital? if not, contact the county/state for more information.nbsp;

    This. You're probably going to have to do your own research.

  • So, you're already covered under two insurance policies? One under your employer and also under your husbands employer? Your insurance would be the primary insurance and whatever yours doesn't cover his would pick up the remaining and usually co-pays. I don't think you'd qualify to get state insurance/Medicaid because you are already covered by private insurance. You might however, qualify for WIC.

    And, it totally sounds like you're looking for a handout.

    This.

  • You could def qualify for Medicaid since you are pregnant. (I work for Allina helping uninsured/ underinsured get on these programs. There are income limits to the program but since you are pregnant they are fairly high. Ie household if 5 you can make up to about $6200/ minth and still qualify. Medicaid would be a second payer and could potentially cover everything that your insurance doesn't cover as long as you are within the guidelines. These programs are designed to help people who need to utilize them and if you qualify you should not think of it as a handout. Mn.gov/dhs/ is the website for programs available. I know a lot about this stuff so if you have any questions feel free to ask!
