I've mentioned before that Owen is an incredibly quirky, picky eater that loves to throw his food all.the.time. I sat him down to breakfast today and gave him a piece of a waffle. He instantly threw it without even tasting it or really even looking at it and I know he typically loves waffles. I did the opposite of what I normally do and just allowed it, didn't say anything, and kept giving him pieces of waffle. He threw maybe 15 of them. Then something magical happened. He tried it! He ate the entire rest of the waffle without throwing any more. Then he let me spoon feed him half a yogurt without a fuss.
@buggajug can attest to the miracle that this is for my kid.
Is this a success? Can I be cool with this behavior (hell, assuming it works the next time)? I never thought I'd be such a permissive parent but gawd it's so nice when he eats.
