Mommy/Mommy-To-Be Group Anyone?

This board doesn't seem very active but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway...would anyone be interested in creating a mom group located in Orange County, NY? I'm currently expecting and would love to find other moms or moms-to-be in the area local to me. I'm new to the area and as those who live around here probably know, it can be hard to meet people. Feel free to post here or PM me if you don't want to post where exactly you live in Orange County.

I'm in ulster county, near newpaltz. I have a moms group n Facebook called new Paltz area mommies that was great when I had DS and I plan to get events posted again soon now that I'm on maternity leave again!

I'm so glad there's interest! I'm not sure how many counties we can include and still have it be convenient for everyone. Maybe we could split it into two groups: Orange County and Rockland/Westchester.

@heyheyklee I'd love to meet up if you're interested! I'm rather new to the area so I know very limited people around here. And out of those people, not one is pregnant! It'd be nice to converse with others in the same boat. I'll send you a PM!

You ladies may want to check out Meetup.com - when I had my son, I met a ton of women through mom groups on there. Also, there is a Family Fun Day at the Nyack Center on September 28 that's going to have info on kids' activities and freebies and such.

Hi ladies, I have lost the baby I was carrying so I'll have to hold off on joining any group for a while. We'll be TTC again but I need to mend my heart first..wish you all the best.

Thank you ladies for your kind words. It has been tough but I am anxious to TTC again. I'd still like to join and meet up with others who are pregnant/moms. I'd be happy to "lead" the group for the Orange County section, it looks like that would be me, @heyheyklee, @DianeW52512 and @rockyroad3, did I miss anyone else in/around Orange County?

Maybe one of you who is from Rockland could run a separate group?

@babytogo, I've checked out Meetup but they didn't have any mommy-to-be groups around Orange County. They have mom groups but for toddler aged kids. I'm not sure about everyone else but I'm a FTM. Obviously FTM, STM, TTM, Etc are all welcome.
