I will not sleep until chapter six comes out. Can I have your permission to use excerpts in my fourth grade classroom to teach figurative language. Your use of metaphors and similies is phenomenal.

4th Grade figurative language excerpts I shall use. Normally I ask the kids to draw what they visualize as hearing the metaphor or simile.... not sure what these pics would turn out like.
Similes/Metaphors:
"my leg had bled like the first-day flow of a menstrual cycle"
"My expression resembled a bunny with a lit firecracker taped to its leg"
" My eyelids fluttered like the delicate little flower "
Hyperbole:
"It’s always the woman’s fault, bro. Always."
Imagery:
"my stomach was suddenly icy with fear "
"his tongue licking flames against the side of my neck"
" trying not to go all Porky Pig on his ass"
"as though you’ve just realized you’ve run over your puppy with a scooter"
"He dipped his head slightly to the side and dug his lips and teeth into my neck like he might devour me whole"

Semicolons are the must screwed up punctuation mark the colonists ever invented. Pretty sure it was created just to mess with everyone's brains. There is no reason that a period and a comma are put together. They both are meant to pause but one means the end of a thought and the other means a continuation of a thought with a pause. You can't have an end of a thought and a continuation of a thought with double pause time all together. GO HOME SEMI-COLON YOU ARE DRUNK!

So never use a semicolon and I still don't get a hyperbole. Got it. I'll just do any math homework for y'all as long as you promise not to hold my terrible grammar against me.
