The ladies in the room had no idea why he was given water. I expressed that it should not happen again. I feel stuck because I do love the center and do a lot for it. But wt ever loving f?

Why do you love it so much if they do such stupid things?

This is the second truly moronic thing that has happened there. They are a non profit and everyone is really in it for the kids. Which is why I am truly flabbergasted over this.
They left DS1 in a dirty diaper amd he got a hellacious rash. I spoke with the director and that lady retired and I never had another problem. That was 2 years ago.
I would never take my LO back, if I were you. If anyone did anything to jeopardize my LO's health I would be so livid and wouldnt trust them not to do it again.
The fact they didnt full explain why they chose to give your LO water or even think to call you if they were going to do so bothers the F outa me. I used to work at a DC and everything we did had to be documented on a sheet to be given to the parents and if something out of the ordinary was going to be done the parent would be called first and asked if it was ok.
Im assuming they did document it or someone told you but there should have been a reasoning.
Due to all the new changes that has happened over the past few years with what is suitable for a baby and what used to be you would think they'd be more on top of things.
I completely understand your anger! My fMIL kept trying to give J water for his hiccups, and wouldn't listen when I said it's not healthy and advised against by pediatricians. I finally had to tell her that if anyone ever gave him water without my permission, that person would not be watching (in her case holding) LO again anytime soon.
I agree with PP that I would be looking for alternative child care after the two things you've said has happened.
I'm confused as to how you know they gave your LO water if none of the ladies knew why. How did you find out that water was given? I agree with PPs, I'd be finding somewhere else to go.
I would be more concerned that they can't tell you why your LO was given water rather than that water was given. You can always just tell them never to do it again without your approval, but something is fishy that they can't give a reason for giving it in the first place.
Re: they fed him water!?!
