Let me just start out by saying, DH has been a doll since we found out. He's been super sensitive, helpful, and understanding.
I've been pretty much nauseous 24/7 for the past week. I've thrown up/dry heaved a few times, this afternoon being one of them! I've been starving, and nothing sounds good.
Well, I called DH before he left the office to come home and asked him to get me a Subway sandwich, and some sour cream and onion chips. As I was digging in to my meal he started in on how the chips may not be good.....I didn't even let him finish. I was like, this is the only thing that sounds good at the moment, and I'm going to eat them, if they come up later, then so be it!
This isn't the first time he has tried to talk me out of eating something that sounds good. I keep telling him not to mess with a pregnant woman and her food! LOL
Anyways, there isn't really a point to this...maybe you other ladies would like to chime in on how your DH is dealing with your sickness, or food, or whatever.

All I can really stomach are carbu type things so I've been eating rice, potatoes, some cereal. When I complained that I felt like I wasn't getting any nutrition and felt bloated, DH said I might want to sign up for SparkPeople calorie counter...

Well, he's not trying to talk me out of it because of gaining weight, but because he doesn't want me to throw it up. But, I've been sick no matter what I'm eating, so I might as well eat what sounds good, right? LOL
Good for you for losing 100 pounds!! That's amazing!
The microwave thing is hilarious. DH doesn't get mad, just "reminds" me constantly. I usually respond with, "I know, but I get two votes because it is my uterus....so I win." Usually that shuts him up.
Finally something sounds good to eat and he said "um that's made with white wine sauce"
My response was fine
Ill eat cake batter instead
Lol

Now, let's see what he says when I go in there to try and make me my 2nd cone!
I triple dog dare my husband to smack food out of my hand..he will never eat again lol!!! The only thing I have craved and he suggested something different was with Ramen Noodles. He got me low sodium chicken noodle soup insteadHe's there with me rubbing my back every time I throw up, cleaning up if I don't make it to the toilet or sink, etc. He knows how much it sucks for me right now, he's not going to give me grief if all I want to eat is carbs in the 1st tri. I'll eat better later when I feel better.
My hubby has been so sweet but a little to indulgent. He was trying to convince me to order the pizza I was craving at 10:30 pm on Sunday when I got home form work. He said "Baby, you and the baby need to eat something, just order the pizza." I had an omelet instead. But I am still craving pizza today!
I gained 60 lbs with last pregnancy, so I am trying to keep it in check, but agree that I will not stress about some extra calories provided it stays in control this time.
