We're team wiener! Now a name problem..

We had a surprise u/s from our OB! He was running late so he asked if we'd like to know the sex! We said absolutely and the u/s was on him! :) another reason why driving 50 minutes to him is so worth it. Anyway, now that we have a baby boy growing we are struggling with names. We will have the middle name of Lee, my fathers middle name. We both like the name Brock, however Brock Lee (last name) would be dreadful! So we're looking for suggestions. To give an idea of the type of names we like here are some top contenders: (if you dislike any of them, or have suggestions for other first names I'd greatly appreciate it!) Brock (but naming our child after a vegetable isn't quite our thing) Kenneth Brayden Heath Thanks in advance!

  • I like Brody. With a middle name of Lee, you have a lot of options.

  • Why not have 2 middle names. Brock (blank) Lee (last name). Then you get the names you want without your poor baby living life with a veggie name

Pretty sure Lee is the last name, not the middle name.  and  I definitely lol-ed at Brock Lee. I like Heath and Kenneth. Kenneth Lee has the best ring to it IMO. Getting the multiple syllables in there! ;)

EDIT: OOPSIE-- Re-read and now I get it.  Brain lapse...Monday has not been great to me- Totally understand the whole (last name) dealio now--- Lee being a middle name. OYE! Forgive me -- bonehead=me.

  • Thank you! DH is loving the double name idea! Any suggestions on the other middle name? We are thinking ((as of this moment)) Brock Kenneth Lee (last name)

As for the name, the -ayden/-aidan thing is so overdone.  I'd try to stay away from that with a 10ft pole.  I like Brock, but not with Lee, obviously.  Kenneth seems out there compared to the style of your other names... I felt like I was playing "which of these things is not like the other."  Heath is nice, but not with Lee.  I think you need a two+ syllable if your determined to use Lee as the MN.  Something like Gavin, Grayson, Bennett, Lucas, etc.

  • Congrats on your little boy!  I like Kenneth.  Its not very common and its a nice name.  Brayden is very trendy and there are lots of kids named that or something very similar.  Have you tried nymbler?  You can put in the names you like and it will give you more suggestions.  Good luck!

As for the name, I agree with PP, I think if Lee is your mn, having a FN with more than one syllable would be best.

  • Yay for team weiner!!! I love the name Heath! Brock something Lee is cute but his friends will not use his middle name.... Although I love the name Brock I might be so inclined to look at different options. Congrats again!!
  • Congrats on Team Blue!

  • Congrats on a healthy boy!

  • Lee is not the last name. It was her father's name and that's why she wants to use it as a middle name. If you're sold on Brock, I like the 2 middle name idea. Might as well use the first name you really both love.
