We do a lot of air travel and we buy DD a seat because I like to have her strapped in at least for take-off and landing, and that way I don't have to risk our seat being beat up while checked, and we have it to use at our destination. Our infant seat was small and light enough to travel with easily, but I don't want to drag around our heavy convertible seats that we have in our cars, so I'm looking at buying a smaller and lighter weight convertible seat for air travel.
I'm comparing the ones that the Lucie's list blog recommends for air travel - each is under 10 pounds. They are the Cosco Scenera, Evenflo Tribute, and Safety 1st OnSide Air.
Does anyone have any experience with any of these seats? I'm interested in comfort level and ease of installation on the plane and in rental cars. Thanks!

It only weighs 11 lbs, but the trade-off is that only goes up to 40 lbs.
The Peg Perego only weighs 11, as well and goes up to 70 lbs, but it's pricey.
