baby cries around other people

My 4 1/2 month old is the happiest baby smiles and plays all day smiles at other people but I started to notice that when we have family get togethers she cries and cries or even if someone comes to our house and she cries like she is in so much pain. She wasn't like that before she recently started daycare but i'm not sure if that's what is affecting her :( she has her days though because for example we were at her doctors appointment and people were talking to her and she was all smiles. When she was 3 months none of this happen before she was fine around people. What can it be? I hope she growths out of it :(

    Maybe your baby is overstimulated by being around multiple people? Be sure you're not messing with baby's normal schedule, which could make her overtired and/or overstimulated and sometimes happens when we are socializing and deviating from the typical routine.

    I've been sort of going through the same thing. LO had no problem around other people. Sometimes she would smile, sometimes she would just be serious, but no real problems crying. Recently she's been crying when anyone else tries talking to her except me. She even cried at DH after going a few days without seeing him. This past weekend my brother came to town. He doesn't get to see her much, but when he tried talking to her or holding her, she would cry. She wasn't like that before, and I felt bad for him. I'm just hoping this phase passes soon!
