swelling? or my new stomach?

I am a little overweight and so with my c section I have notices as I am healing. I am staying puffy on my right side. My left looks okay but my right side doesn't look like its going down. I was wondering for all the bigger mommys out there was this swelling that went down eventually or do I need to prepare myself for the fact that this could be what I look like now? I am 3 weeks pp

I looked 6months pregnant still at a yr pp and I lost all my weight the first week. Maybe from breastfeeding? I got pregnant at 10 months pp so I have no idea if it goes away.

My swelling didn't go down until after I went back to work at 8 weeks.

I'll be 7 weeks pp on Wednesday. My lower belly still looks swollen. I had a tummy before, but this is more of a tummy. I'm starting to think it's here to stay. I also have lost all the weight, and I'm at my prepregnancy weight, which is still too much but my shape is definitely different now. I can't wear my prepregnancy clothes even though I'm at my prepregnancy weight. It sucks.

The left side of my incision is sort of puffy and puckered, the right side is smooth and looks normal. I had my cs almost 4 years ago and have had another baby since...it has looked like this the entire time (well, I suppose I looked less lopsided while pregnant with DS2). If I would have had a second CS I would have asked my doc to try and fix it but I had a VBAC so I guess it's here to stay. On the bright side, you can't tell while I'm clothed and I asked my DH about it once and he said he had never noticed it so I'm guessing it's not as bad as I think it is. I hope yours is just swelling but it's entirely possible that it's not.

Well I had an appointment with the wound clinic today and they say I am not healing as they would like so they want to open me back up. Now I am really scared.

Eww, sounds scary. I'm sure they'll fix whatever is causing the bulge you have on the side. Lots of luck!
