December 2012 Moms

making progress...

So we started day care last part time to get LO used to the new environment for the upcoming school year. Were told after a few days that it would be really helpful to get her to drink from something & to sleep on her own.

After much crying the last few nights (starts the moment she is put down), got it from 1+ hours to 30 mins of crying (with intermitent comforting from parents) and she fell asleep for 7 hours!

DH got our bedroom rearranged, sold the cosleeper she out maneuvered two weekends ago (along with some other infant items that have been in LOs closet, the garage & hallway). Rearranged LOs room as well (rocking chair removed & arm chair in its place. Laundry is folded but not fully away.

Has been a good weekend even though it has been plauged by a sore neck. Finally feeling like we are making progress.

  • it is funny how the "she's growing up" feeling suddenly hits. All along when people would say that, I'd say "good, that's what we want" however with putting our bedroom back to a more notmal furnature arrangement, it finally hit. Then being in the baby clothing secton of the store & seeing clothes that would have just started fitting her at 2 months old. Am still glad she's progressing, however now I get it.

  • Yay for progress!

Speaking of growing up, I was at Target and looking at clothes and was thinking about fall and what sizes I have in warm clothes, (DD1 was a summer baby) and I realized that if I was to buy anything I should get 12 month stuff. Cue freakout! I couldn't do it, so I walked away. Haha.

  • LO is still in a few 0-3 mo clothes and in the smaller 3-6mo items so it feels like we have a long way to go for the 12 month items we have stored away from friends.
