First time in the nursery!

DD went to the nursery at church for the first time this morning. She had a blast. They said she explored the whole room, tore out the stuff in the cubbies and climbed in them, played with the other babies, had some puffs. I'm so relieved! I haven't sat through a service in many months. She was super tired when I picked her up, so DH dropped me and her off at home for nap time. She went to sleep instantly, they wore her out. Lol. We usually go to the in laws for lunch, DH and DS still went. I will drive over when she wakes up and get my yummy food.

Re: First time in the nursery!

  • Yay! It's such a good feeling to know you can leave them for a bit and they have fun. Sam has been going to the nursery for about a month now. It's hard to get it to work with his schedule, but he's finally staying awake long enough to not crank too much. Hoping that this will help with the separation anxiety that he's starting to develop. We'll see...

  • That is awesome!

I wish our nursery took young babies. There is no rule saying we can't take them in, but everyone waits till their LO can walk, since there are big kids in there as well, up to age 3. I really hope DD2 walks sooner than DD1 did, so I can finally sit and enjoy church again.
