PAIN!!

So, the in between months of our AI treatments are SUPER painful for me! I've always had bad cramps during that time of the month. I was on BC for 10 years and it was a miracle for me! But now that we're TTC, I pretty much just have to deal with it in between treatments and hope we get pregnant. If it wasn't for us TTC, I would totally be on the pill! My doctor just prescribed me mefenamic acid and it is NOT working. Has anyone else been prescribed anything stronger to get them through? I'm desperate! Our financial situation isn't the greatest at the moment and we have a chance to do another round in a few months. I just need some kind of relief to hold me over til then!!

Re: PAIN!!

  • Acupuncture changed my life when I off the pill, I had horrendous periods and after doing it, they went from week long, painful events where I ate Advil like candy, to a couple days with a dose or two of Advil. If you try it, find someone who has experience with womanly parts. Sorry you are suffering!

  • Have you ever had a laparoscopy? Or has your doctor ever mentioned endometriosis? I would think with that much pain it would be something they would want to look into. The only thing I've been prescribed for pain is naproxen sodium which is basically high strength ibuprofen. Also, if you consume caffeine it might help to stop. I have endo and caffeine makes it noticeably worse.
