Short version:
My perfect rainbow baby was born this morning at 3:14 am, weighing 7 lbs 8 oz and 20.5 inches long.
Long version: I had my first contraction around 3:30 pm, and by 8:00 pm I was admitted at 3cm dilated and fully effaced. I was in labor for about 12 hours total. I was hoping to go all natural and labored in the tub for awhile but I wasn't handling the pain well despite my best efforts. I requested an epi but the anesthesiologist was doing an emergency c-section. They convinced me to take morphine in the mean time and finally I got my epi. They broke my water at the same time (I was 6 cm) and then I progressed from 6 cm to 10 cm in about an hour total. I let him labor down for awhile and then after about 40 minutes of pushing he made his smooth arrival. I didn't tear at all!

Graduated rpl program, moving on to regular ob!
