Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Reusable pouches?

Any recommendations? DD decided tonight she no longer wants to be spoonfed, she just wants to take the pouch and handle it on her own. But, since those things are pretty pricey, I'd like to make my own food. I know there are several brands of reusable pouches out there, but I was wondering what you ladies recommend. Thanks!!

  • I can't tell how old your LO is. My son started refusing the spoon around 6.5 months. We switched to BLW-style food then and he self-feeds. No purees at all, just table foods of whatever we are eating. He loves it, and so do I as I don't have to make separate foods for him.

  • She's 8 months. I'm kind of thinking about starting BLW. The pedi said 9 months is the usual start time, but when I asked the nurse it was kind of an "Oh, I don't know, I'd wait til about 9 months" kind of answer, so nothing hard and fast.
