December 2012 Moms

Tonight's the night.

Our houseguest moved out today and that frees up a room for Connor. He has slept in his pack n play, then his crib in my room since he was born. We are moving his crib and dresser into his own room tonight and I am kind of sad. Granted,it will be nice to be able to enter my room after 8 pm, turn a light on and use our master bathroom.A friend gave me a baby monitor so I can hear him if he wakes up.I worry about him being lonely which I know is stupid. I just hope I can sleep,I am SO used to having him sleep 2 feet from me. I also hope I don't hear anything creepy on the monitor. I sound crazy I know.

Lucky. I'm still in with the baby. BIL is allowing me to move into his old room, but it's a war zone. Trying to save up so we can get a dumpster to clean it out and then the room still needs a thorough cleaning after. Oh, in case it's not clear, we had to move in with my mil and I don't think we are ever leaving.

    Good luck i'm completely jealous

  • @prncebride, YIKES,a dumpster?f you're serious, maybe get a Bagster. They are 30 bucks on Amazon. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that situation changes for you. But,sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. I wish miffed that the room wasn't vacuumed after it was cleared.

  • yeah @ ambeedb72!

That is good news @prncebride. We have done a few hone redos and have found that we can put a little in the weekly trash load & over time, the waste goes away. Maybe a bag a week? Have not needed a dumpster that way. Also IF there is anything that is decent enough to donate, there are some places that will pick up if there us enough (or a weekly bag to the donation center drop off could be an option)

  • We move DD into her room last night. It was kind of sad, I'm so used to rolling over and having her right there next to me. She did fine, though, no more wake ups than usual and she went back down fine. She's been napping in there every day for about five months, so it's familiar to her. It's nice that DH can move back into our room from the guest room, though. And like you said, being able to turn a light on after 8 pm and not fumbling in the dark is definitely nice. Good luck!!
  • I miss Alivia sleeping in my room. Everyday I think about that.
I'm glad you have your place to your self! That's going to be a nice change :)
