Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Recommend what you use to 'wear' your baby...

With having two small kiddos, I am finding that wearing DS#2 is the key to success! I have the baby bjorn, but either one of us are a fan- it's hurts my back and I don't like what it does to his hips. I am looking for something that can be more comfortable for both of us and can be used as he grows...thanks for your input!

  • My son loves our Babyhawk mei tai.  I love that I could customize it to look how I wanted!

  • Lillebaby Nordic. I am in love with mine. It is so easy to use, has a high weight limit, 6 different carrying positions, good back support and comfy straps, and costs less than a Bjorn. It is the best purchase I made for DS2.

  • I did a ton of research and talked to lots of moms and finally decided on the Boba. It is fantastic. The close second runner was the Tula. Which was another great carrier. The only drawback to these is that baby can't face forward like the Bjorn. But like you said, it doesn't seem too great for the hips anyway. Good luck!!
  • We love the Beco Gemini! Little guy loves it too. We also have a mei tai, which we like, but our go-to is the Beco.
  • definitely ditch the bjorn - we have the Ergo and the Boba 3G and love them both!

  • We have three. We have a Bjorn that DH wears. The hips aren't an issue if you have them in there correctly. You have to make sure you have the seat part big enough. As he grows you have to expand that so he's sitting not dangling. But besides that I have a mei tai that I love. The majority of the weight is around your waist. I also have a sling ring but that is more for assistance holding the baby but its super light so he's not nearly as hot.
  • I have 2 I wear a lot. I really like my k'tan, but I find it easier to nurse hands free in my maya wrap sling. Both are really easy to use after a little practice. DS is a big boy and so far they aren't too bad on my back.
  • Love my boba 3G. It's awesome!!

  • Maya wrap and a Sakura bloom sling. Baby can face outward and we don't overheat
  • I have a ring sling, bjorn and a ergo and right now I am in love with the ergo and my little one loves it, so easy for him to nap in and snuggle close to me.
  • Our go-to right now is the k'tan. Love it! Easy to maneuver. Also love the ergo, but DD's still a little short for it without the insert.

  • Just gave up on my bjorn and got the original Ergo. I still need practice with it but so far my back is no longer hurting like with the bjorn.
