can someone diagnosis my DD

1st of all, about 2 weeks ago DD had a stomach bug.  She was puking every hour for like 5 hours so I took her to the emergency room, which is how she knows about the hospital.

Tuesday DD was in a great mood.  She slept well at the hotel and we were getting ready to go to Sesame Place.  All of the sudden she said her stomach was hurting.  She did poop, but she continued screaming bloody murder, hanging on to the toilet saying she had to throw up and needed to go to the hospital.  After about 20 minutes of trying to calm her down we had to leave because it was check out time.  She calmed down but still didn't want to go to Sesame, we even drove to the parking lot to see if she'd change her mind but she didn't.   She passed out as soon as we left and slept from 10:30-12.  When we got home she was perfectly fine for a few hours, then started crying about her stomach again, but not as bad as the morning.

Yesterday she was fine and all of today until tonight.  She was tired, she didn't nap, which isn't unusual, but she kept asking if it was bed time.  DH was getting ready to take her to the toy store at 6 when she started screaming about her stomach again.  Again, she wanted to go to the dr and said she had to throw up.  She's clearly in pain and is literally crying over it.  After about a half hour I got her to calm down and she fell asleep on my lap at 6:40, well before her 8:00 bed time.  I'll call the dr about this tomorrow but any ideas what might be going on?

  • she has also woken up twice since 7:15, she runs out of her room yelling "I hurt, I hurt" but then when I lay down with her she goes right back to sleep.

  • Does she have a fever?

  • no, no fever, vomiting, diarrhea, nothing other than screaming in pain.
  • I'd take her in.

  • Has she been having bowel movements?  If my kid is screaming in pain, I'd take them in.  DS had horrible constipation and was screaming and writhing around because his tummy hurt.  After a second ER visit, he was admitted.  Plus, IME, if a kid *wants* to go to the dr then something is up.  I hope she feels better soon!
