Hitting

DD has been cutting teeth for the last 6 weeks and I know she is just in general miserable. She is very clingy and cranky and I am trying my best to comfort her as well as ease her symptoms. Lately she wants to be held a lot which is fine, but she has started hitting me or pulling hair when I pick her up. I put her down tell her no, not to hit etc. and try again. The last few days its been really bad. Her teething and hitting. Im so exhausted. We have been doing pick up, hit, put down for days and I need some advice how to turn this around while comforting the teething! Help!
