We have a set birthday...

Little miss...or not so little miss...will be here August 12th unless she comes early. At her growth scan today, she was up to 10 lb 8 oz, which is ironically the exact weight my little brother was born at when he suffered shoulder distocia and ended up with cerebral palsy. With up to 10 more days to grow, dh and I decided to err on the side of safety and go with a c section. Even though I know the weight estimate is probably high, I just cant chance things going downhill and something happening to her. Its not how I planned it, and would be lying to say I wasn't disappointed some, but it isn't about me. Tomorrow we are in the single digit countdown to our rainbow! I'm sooooo excited.

Yay, you're so close! I'm sad about having a c-section too, but it is what it is. It's not an easy choice to make.

Good luck! A friend of mine opted for c-section for the same reasons, and even though she wanted the natural birth and all that jazz, when he came out just under 11lbs and linebacker shoulders, she knew immediately she had made the right decision for him & her.
10 more days!!!!

Now I really hope Sunshine comes on his EDD because we could have our rainbows on the same day! I love your attitude that even though this isn't what you planned, you'll do what it takes to get little miss here safely. Thanks ladies. The support is really nice. I know there will be some people who side eye me for doing the c section but I honestly don't care. Its about getting baby here safely. I cant wait to hold her.

I have to admit that I get a little jealous of people with scheduled csections! My SIL is having her 4th csection and scheduled it already... I wish I could know when my LO was going to be here! I know a csection isn't ideal, but you're one step closer to holding your DD!
