If baby isn't tired, ready for bed just yet, but it's getting late, like 10pm (because he had a late nap), do I keep him awake until he's actually tired, or do we try putting him to sleep?
This rarely happens here, but when it does I let him stay up. I don't just sit there though, we do "games", talk, read books and I will even put him in his jumparoo to play. Normally a half hour later he is ready to eat and go to bed.
DS likes to stay up late, we've found it best not to fight with him to sleep. DS is always on the move, so we let him continue to play and will eventually try and feed again and then put to bed. His bedtime is anywhere between 10pm and midnight.

I would not fight him to go to sleep. My lo is always so exhausted from daycare that he takes a nap from 5-7:30 everyday but I have found that if I don't fight him to go to bed at night it's much easier for all of us!
I Have Found That as long as you have a bedtime routine, it really doesn't matter what time the last nap is, they'll still go to sleep as usual. i might push back 30 minutes or so, but never longer than that. sleep begets sleep.
TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!
Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!
