NBR whine

I want to get my son a Planet Box lunch box and I think my DH might die if I spent $60 or $70 for a lunch box especially when I have tons of plastic crap I have already purchased for lunches.

  • I literally had to read this 3 times before my brain would comprehend that you want to spend that kind of money... On a lunch box.

    I can't...

Nope. Never. Not even if I were filthy stinking rich could I justify that.

    Love you, but really?

  • Though I will say this, I would love to spend that kind of money on a lunch box system similar to this.  I love metal vs plastic.

So I can see the draw.

    There is this one:

But if you go here, you might find some less expensive versions.

  • I would never spend that money. I bought DD's lunch box for 1.47 on clearance at the end of last year lol

  • That's a little steep for a lunch box. Keep in mind too that your child might only want to use it for one school year and then be done with it.
  • I would spend it. In fact, I'm going to get SS one. He currently has the Pottery Barn bento boxes and they tear up easily. I go through 3 a year. Plus, the plastic smells funky after a while. He takes his lunch every day and can't open containers. Unless all of his lunch is available to him, he sometimes doesn't eat because the aid that goes to lunch with the kids is an idiot. No amount of talking to the school has helped so I spend more to make sure he has access to his food.

  • I no longer put anything in plastic containers for various reasons, but mostly because of the toxicity, so I can see why you would do this. I'd get it.

  • Honestly with all the things we spend money on, I would get it. I wouldn't get it if I had to put it on a credit card or anything but if you have the money, go for it.

  • This is the LunchBot option.  The quad.  They also have an insulated lunch box.

  • Ilumine, that first pick is the one I am talking about for $59, see you really do get what I mean;). I like the idea of the LunchBot but have heard they can be hard to open, I wish I could test one but since I cannot I am not spending that money and then if he has issues opening or closing it then it is wasted.
