  We are in the same situation. I also bought the Carter's 0-9 months sleep sacks at Target. I have no idea where to buy longer ones. I am almost temped to do a search online and just order from the internet, instead of searching store after store.

  grobags are longer but they are sleeveless.  They come in a bunch of different weights.

  Halo...they come in sizes clear to XL.  DS is 27 inches and he wears a medium.  I got mine off of Amazon.com

  I find the carters fleece sleep sacks are longer than their sleeveless cotton ones.  The girls can still fit in the fleece ones but the cotton ones are too short.  I think the Halo sleep sacks are longer than the carters.

  I believe I bought the same by Carters at Macys that also says 0-9 months and within a acouple of weeks she's out grown them.

  No...I just put him in fleece PJ's and the cotton sleep sack and he's fine (and his room is cold).  If I were to have a fleece sleeveless, I would probably do cotton footed pj's.

  I haven't come across longer ones with sleeves.

  We use Aden + Anais sleep sacks. They're really long, and they come in a million cute patterns. I order from amazon.
