Amoxicillin?

Hi ladies....

This may sound like a strange question.....but has anyone's LO or older DC been on this antibiotic and get extremely hyper after taking it?

About 20 min or so after V takes it he is a maniac. Takes about an hour to settle him down. Crazy!

    Oddly enough, one of my nephews is allergic. 
    I believe hyperactivity is one of the symptoms. Although, he also has difficulty breathing after taking it as well so he never takes it anymore. 

    What's the flavour?  Maybe it's just the flavour additive?  There's usually a couple options here in Canada. 
    I get banana. (Yes, for me). Because I HATE the strawberry. 
    Not sure if there are other options.

    My brother is allergic to it and he was extremely hyper before they took him off it.

    Z was on this a few months ago when I noticed his ear infection. The infection was in the earlier stages when I caught it. Pedi gave us the bubblegum flavored meds as a precautionary step. Zane wasn't hyper after taking it. He actually didn't care for the taste that much as I couldn't ever get the whole dose down.
