  I have a nordic track treadmill and I love it; bought it at sears.  I used ot have an elliptical but it was cheap crappy one, so I don't recommend.

  I have a sole elliptical and love a lot. I work out more having at home and thought I would hate elliptical but love it. Also tv is key!

  If you invest in free weights you will never look back.

  
  

  My husband bought a home gym when he was a teenager, he moved that into our house. I plan on buying a lot of free weights and kettle balls and an elliptical sometime as well as a treadmill. I will be building a small room on our property somewhere so I can move all the gym stuff in it... might even open it to nearby neighbors for a small $5 fee a month (To pay for electric.) If I decide to do that I may think about buying more equipment and just opening a 24 hour gym for the small community that is near the farm.

  I wish I had workout equipment, and I envy the fact that you're buying one! My dream is to have a house big enough to have an exercise room. Right now we're renting a condo and have no space for it. I just have a floor mat and some free weights to go with a bunch of exercise DVDs I've bought along the years. 

  
  

  I think if you're going to buy an elliptical, don't get one of those cheaper compact ones. I think it's worth spending the money to get a good sturdy one that will last you a long time, as long as you know you're definitely going to use it!
