Some days I'm like, oh, I've got this, piece of cake. And then there are days like today where I'm just praying for then to both sleep simultaneously so I can have five minutes to myself before I pass out from sheer exhaustion.

I'm not the biggest fan of the newborn stage, but it's definitely been a lot easier to handle the second time around. DD1 is being super patient and sweet, which is a HUGE help.

Let me try to see if I can PIP from my phone...

Thanks!  It's funny because it's like real people hair, not little baby fuzz pretend hair.

  • We've been doing great for the last two-ish weeks. My aunt and uncle were here and now FIL is here, so i have lots of help. The week before that, I was on my own, and that was pretty crazy. But we're alive and smiling. I have a little while before my next week without DH, so hopefully DD will be on more of a routine by then.

This pic is a couple of weeks old, but the latest I have on my laptop.

Great! I think I'm still blissed out on hormones, but I love having a newborn. She's so sweet! I think it takes a toddler to truly appreciate that. She's also a pretty chill kids, so that makes a difference. Ill probably regret saying this, but I think I like 2 better than 1. The days go very quickly :). Not the cutest pic, but a recent one.

  • Do I still count!? My squish is 6 months old already!!! Now that he's past the newborn stage he almost takes more work... But in a different way!

  • I love my boys but they are a handful! DS2 is a cling on. I seriously cannot put him down for five minutes and he's not a fan of baby carriers. DS1 has been great about it though. He's not jealous and loves his brother. I feel bad that I have to hold DS2 all day though. He gets spoiled by daddy though!
  • I am tired!  Things are definitely getting better, but SO has been working a ton and I'm doing a lot of this by myself.  DD has been really jealous and abusive. Thankfully she's taken a turn for the better the past couple of days so I really hope it keeps up.  DS is a cuddly sweetheart but does not like to be put down while awake, hence DD's jealously.  Thank god for baby wearing :)

I find the more we can get out of the house, the happier we all are.  Despite all the tough stuff it is insanely cute to watch DD try to nurse her dolls and copy what I'm doing.  She loves giving him kisses and he's just so darn cute even though he cries a lot!

    Of course you count!
  • So glad things are getting easier! Amy, he is adorable!
  • As you know, things were really rough this time around. Buuuut Baby Boy seems to have finally settled into somewhat of a schedule, and my life is now a million times easier. It's not perfect, though. For instance, he cannot nap on his own for more than 40-60 minutes, which means I have to go and put him back to sleep twice during his long afternoon nap. But we make it work. And I'll take that over the freakin' 20-minute naps we dealt with for over 2 months.

I think I already posted this, but here's the most recent cute picture of him I have :)

  • Hmmm... my picture also posted twice. I don't get it. Oh well.
Also, I cannot get over all the dimples his chunkiness is giving him. Like in that picture, you can see he has two elbow dimples, as well as knuckle dimples. <3
