Julia Ann joined us this afternoon. I was electively induced (4th baby, history of precipitous labors, and favorable cervix).
Came in at 4 cm. They started me on pit at lowest dose (2) Around 9am. Had it cranked all the way up to 14 by noon (they don't usually go higher than 20) and I still wasn't in pain any worse than moderate period cramps. So after doing that all morning, and after the doc took care of a few other non-induced deliveries, he broke my water at 12:45p. I was at 5cm when he broke my water. She was born at 1:32. No epi or any pain meds. She is perfect and her three older sisters have already come to meet her (and are in love). DH just took the big 3 down to the cafeteria to get some dinner. Just wanted to give a quick update. Will write out a better birth story later and will try to post pix in next day or two
