Trying to Get Pregnant

Goat?

H and I joined a CSA ( community supported agriculture) and our first pick up was this afternoon. A great thing about ours is that it's a ranch, orchard, and farm so we get fruit, veg, and meat every week. So, for our meat this week we got beef shortribs and...ground goat. I have no idea what to make with it. Anyone have any ideas?

Re: Goat?

  • That looks freaking delicious. I don't know if I'll make my own pitas because I'm not a great baker, but thd rest looks pretty easy.

Making your own Pitas is actually really easy.

    3 1/4 cups flour
    2 teaspoons salt
    2 teaspoons yeast (instant)
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    1 1/4 cups water

Mix the water, yeast, and salt together.
    Add the olive oil.
    Add the flour.

Put the whole thing in a covered container and let rise for about 2 hours.

Take out a chunk of dough the size of a small baseball.
Roll out as thin as possible.

in the oven on 500 for 6 minutes.

    They're delicious too!

  • There are a number of delicious Mexican recipes that involve goat meat too.

I'm not a goat fan, though. I have trouble eating goat because oddly enough, to me they seem so personable...almost like a dog.
